Many distinguished guests attended the conference, including First Secretary of the Royal Norwegian Embassy Ms. Rannveig Skofteland together with advisor on EEA and Norway grants Ms. Soňa Sulíková, Mr. Jaroslav Mojžiš – head of Department of EEA and Norway grants, the Government Office of the Slovak Republic and other guests. The general director of BIOMASA Association Mr. Ladislav Židek launched conference and Ms. Janka Kavcová, the Chairman of the Board of BIOPEL a.s. carried opening speech.

In the morning session, BLC project, its goals and activities were introduced. Later on, project partners presented its activities. First, Mr. Štefan Fusko, the chairman of landowner association and Mr. Peter Pekara introduced the mission and activity of CS Rajec. The president of Norwegian Forestry Group Øuestein Aasaren and the president of Innovation Development Norway Anders Stølan introduced their companies from Norway that will contribute to BLC project with rich experience from practise and innovative solutions. Mr. Radovan Nosek from the University of Žilina described research part of project.

In the afternoon, the conference participants moved to the headquarters of BIOPEL a.s. in Kysucký Lieskovec to see the foundation stone ceremony. After that, BIOMASA introduced to present the short presentation and excursion of wood-waste processing to final pellet production.
