On 30th of October 2015 a seminar entitled "The future use of local renewable energy sources", was held in Kysucky Lieskovec and Zilina. The seminar was organized in cooperation with the BIOMASA Association from Kysucky Lieskovec and with the Norwegian Embassy in Bratislava and was designed for Green Industry Innovation programme´s stakeholders, experts in the field of Renewable Energy and Green Industry, state institutions, forest owners, biomass processing companies, media and other general public.
The seminar was attended by several distinguished guests, including Her Excellency the Norwegian ambassador in Slovakia Inga Magistad, First Secretary of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Norway Rannveig Skofteland, Senior Advisor on EEA and Norway grants Sona Sulikova, Jan Krak - Director General of the EEA and Norway grants department of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic, project managers of section of bilateral financial instruments of the Government Office of the Slovak Republic Barbora Gonzalez and Beatrix Cerna and other distinguished guests from Norway and Slovakia.
The seminar was divided into three parts, which were held in Kysucky Lieskovec in head seat of BIOPEL, the second part was held in the House of Culture in Kysucky Lieskovec and the third part was held in Zilina. The aim of the seminar was to present successful best examples of innovation in green energy, use of renewable energy sources and sharing of experience in this sector between Norway and the Slovak experts.
The seminar began by the practical demonstration of construction of the Biomass Logistic Center in Kysucky Lieskovec. Expert commentary and tour was guided by Pavol Lenhart - the Member of the Board of Directores and Janka Kasanicka - the Chairman of the Board.
The seminar continued in the next section in the House of Culture in Kysucky Lieskovec where the seminar was opened by welcoming special guests by the Director General of the BIOMASA Association Ladislav Zidek. The seminar was introduced by the speech of Inga Magistad - Norwegian Ambassador and Jan Krak - the General Director of EEA and Norway Grants. The seminar continued the presentation of the Director of the Department of Energy and Raw Material Policy of the Ministry of Economy - Miroslav Jarabek and the Norwegian Directorate of Water Resources and Energy - Anders Stolan.
The morning program continued with presentations of the examples of green innovation and research within the EEA Grants. In this section following projects were presented:
Biomass Logistic Center - Pavol Lenhart from BIOPEL, Kysucký Lieskovec & Erling Bergsaker from Norgwegian Forestry Group, Oslo, Norway
Predefined project - Kristina Muranova from The Agricultural technical and Testing Institute, Rovinka & Egil Andersen from Antec Biogas, Oslo, Norway
Sinbio - Jana Lukacova from INTECH Slovakia, Bratislava
Green innovation Kalosa - Anton Repka from ECO FILM, Bardejov.
In the second part focused on the future use of local renewable energy sources the projects implemented under the LIFE program were presented by the Director General of BIOMASA Association Ladislav Zidek and research projects with the University of Zilina. The research part of the project approached Peter Durcansky from the University of Zilina.
In the afternoon, participants moved to Zilina, where they visited the manufacturing engineering company DREVOINDUSTRIA MECHANIK, which is engaged in machinery production for the woodworking industry, energy, waste treatment and recycling. Expert commentary, as well as the actual plant tour was provided by the managing director Jan Slivka.
At the end of the seminar participants followed the invitation of the General Director of BIOMASA Ladislav Zidek to the park Drienova close to Rajec on a late lunch in nature.
